Nigerian Builds Car Using Locally Sourced Parts

Engineer Okpere built a car using locally sourced parts! He could be Nigeria's own Henry Ford if he is rightly supported. Nigerians are hard working people but we hardly invest our talents and thoughts in positive things. We thank God for people like Engineer Okpere. I hope he gets what he needs to be able to build a successful industry.

My Favourite Screen Saver so far - Colour Clock

I got tired of screensavers years ago. They got old and boring. But the Colour Clock, rekindled my love for screen savers. I actually leave my computer unattended so my screensaver could start up and I would just stare at it...lol
This screen saver is beautiful to look at ^_^.

Works on PCs and Macs. See it in action here. Click the tab below the time to see the hexadecimal value.

Electric 'Whill' for manual wheelchairs

A team of Japanese inventors have created a device which transforms a manual wheelchair into an electric mobility device that can reach speeds up to 20km/h powered by a lithium battery.
The device (Whill) just needs to be clamped to an existing wheelchair to get it get it started.
The Whill uses intuitive manoeuvring gestures. For example, by applying force to certain areas of the control panel(situated in front of the user), you can slow down or speed up the device.

Green Pavement makes Electricity

Paving slabs that convert energy from people's footsteps into electricity are set to help power Europe's largest urban mall, at the 2012 London Olympics site.

The recycled rubber "PaveGen" paving slabs harvest kinetic energy from the impact of people stepping on them and instantly deliver tiny bursts of electricity to nearby appliances. The slabs can also store energy for up to three days in an on-board battery, according to its creator.

The Potential
"Up to 52,000 people per hour pass through busy train stations. The average person takes around 200 million steps in their lifetime."

See through catalog Model's clothing - Moosejaw X-Ray App

This is an Augmented reality App which uses your mobile device's camera and some augmented reality trickery to grant you X-ray vision, as you scan both female and male models' bodies in the catalog. All you have to do is position your device over the catalog pages (MooseJaw's Catalogue tho ).  Source: Gizmag

Fly like Iron Man with Flyboard

"This ingenious and deceptively simple device bolts on to the powerful motor of a jet ski, then routes the resulting water jet through a long hose that connects to a pair of jet boots and hand-held stabilizers. The arrangement lets you fly, Iron Man style, up to 9 meters in the air - or leap headfirst through the waves like a human dolphin. The best part? You can buy it for under 5000 Euro (US$6700). That is, once Franky digs his way out from under the avalanche of orders he's going to come home to." - Gizmag
